Composing a winning design

As many creatives will tell you, there’s nothing more fulfilling than seeing your design come to fruition, and here at Andrew Henry Interiors we are fortunate enough to witness, firsthand, the meticulous delivery of our design schemes, from desktop to final show home installation.

Therefore, back in 2017 and in partnership with leading housing developer Barratt David Wilson, we decided to give one lucky pupil at Ebbsfleet Academy the chance to design their dream bedroom. Participants were encouraged to fully explore their chosen theme, taking into consideration the rooms usage, colour-ways, patterns, textures, and the layout. Once all of these crucial design elements had been decided, entrants were asked to create a mood board and a floor plan.

It was clear from the design entries that we were dealing with some budding Interior Designers, however, the music-themed bedroom by Jack Lipscombe stole the show. To add to the excitement of Jack’s win, his amazing design has just been installed at a show home on Barratt David Wilson’s stunning Castle Hill site at Ebbsfleet, and Jack has been invited to attend the launch event.

We hope Jack will feel the same sense of pride that we still experience when one of our designs become a reality. Well done Jack!
