Sustainability, soft furnishings and spectacular show homes – A recap of 2022

19/12/2022

In between wrapping up this year’s projects, preparing for the start of 2023, drinking the odd Christmas themed cocktail and arranging our Christmas decs (which as you can imagine, we’re quite particular about), we’ve taken some time to reflect on all we have achieved at Andrew Henry Interiors over the last 12 months.

Looking at the year in numbers, it’s no surprise that we’re all ready for a few days of R&R!  In summary, we’ve installed over 100 show homes, created over 150 pieces of bespoke art, secured 11 new clients, celebrated 15 years of Andrew Henry Interiors and launched 1 new soft furnishing brand.

Highlights:

Ryves Village, Newland Homes

A subject close to our hearts, sustainability has been at the top of our agenda this year and this particular project was extra special. Newland Homes’ xero-carbon development in North Somerset was the perfect location for us to deliver our first sustainable show home and truly demonstrate how we can make interior design beautiful and eco-conscious. We have since had housebuilders asking for their show home designs to incorporate green features so it’s great to be offering a service that contributes to the sustainability movement.

Each of our designers on this project have a strong passion for the environment and were influenced by their own relationship with the planet and their own experiences, like scuba diving in Australia. From a headboard created with recycled plastic bottles to hand-painted nature scenes, we wanted to tell the sustainable story in the way we know best, through memorable interior design.

Launch of Thread and Dandy

This year we channeled our love of all things soft furnishings into the launch of our new bespoke window dressing service, Thread and Dandy. Our brochures can now be found in show homes across the country and we’ll be looking to grow the business further in 2023.

Ilsham Grange, The PG Group

Next, we head to Torbay where we combined Andrew Henry Interiors signature show home style with the Devonshire coastline at PG Group’s Ilsham Grange development. Working with such breathtaking natural views around us was an interior designer’s dream and influenced the gorgeous colour scheme and bespoke furnishings we introduced to this project.

Hayes Village, Barratt London

Another dreamy project for our design team, creating a New York-style apartment in the former Nestlé factory in West London was a wonderful challenge. Although there wasn’t a Milkybar or box of Quality Streets in sight, we did create an incredible industrial-inspired design for Barratt London’s Hayes Village which went on to be awarded silver for Best Apartment Scheme at the WhatHouse? Awards.

Looking Ahead:

In 2023, we plan to deliver more beautiful show homes and be as meticulous as ever about our designs, but in the mean-time we’re going to revel in some of the amazing client feedback we’ve received this year. We love what we do, so it’s always great to hear that our clients feel the same.

Chris Parker, Marketing Manager at Newland Homes: “Andrew Henry Interiors has created a unique design at Ryves Vale. Incorporating the environmental issues we face and connecting the design with nature has added an incredible USP to our show home. We were bowled over by the care and attention to detail the design team demonstrated on this project and the end result is testament to their considered approach.”

Anna Fairman, Sales and Marketing Director, The PG Group: “The finished result of the show home surpassed all our expectations. Our project clearly mattered and nothing was too much trouble. The end results have also already helped confirm our first reservation on the launch weekend.”

Sales Manager at Barratt London: “The Andrew Henry Interiors team have created an incredible show apartment displaying everything that Hayes Village is about. The carefully considered design and styling of the apartment emphasises the industrial feel of the wider development and it is remarkable how the history of the site can be so effortlessly reflected through interior design”

Sales Manager at Life Less Ordinary: “We couldn’t recommend Andrew Henry Interiors highly enough (especially Cleo)! We have worked with many interior designers but have found Andrew Henry Interiors to be incredibly friendly, efficient and the finished product has been really well received.”

From all the Andrew Henry Interiors team, we hope you have a lovely Christmas and we wish you a very happy and healthy New Year!
